Flicker is a 2D isometric puzzle game made for the Screamology game jam 2026.

Play as a jaded paranormal investigator summoned to yet another creaky abandoned cabin, only to discover a being far beyond any typical ghost or ghoul. Use the limited light of your lantern to stave off the shadows and find a way out of this strange, ever-shifting cabin.

  Know the unknowable

The being summoned to this cabin is unlike anything you have ever encountered.

What you thought was going to be an easy case of paranoia over a bump in the dark turns into a puzzling encounter with the beyond that tears at the fabric of your mind and warps your very reality.

  Complete the Ritual

Inspired by Faith: The Unholy Trinity, House of Leaves, and Lovecraftian horror, Flicker invites you to test your puzzle solving skills and willingness to delve into the darkness in this short 10-15 min experience.

Controls

  • WASD to move
  • E to interact with objects, move through doors, and pick up items
  • F to close item zoom-in view
  • Right Click & Drag to open inventory, place items, and move items around within puzzle screens
